Welcome to my website. I thank-you for stopping by.
As a retired single I am finally finding the time to do some of the things that I had only dreamed of doing. I have tried several painting techniques including oils, acrylics and watercolors. Although I can certainly claim no “artistic” success, it was fun to try.
Along with the painting attempts I have been busy scrapbooking, and making cards. (Paper has always fascinated me) The art of scrapbooking has allowed me to share an interest with my daughters--an important connection in this busy world.
The logo that I use for the silver (and for my handmade cards) came from a course at Red Deer College Summer Series on Chinese Brush Painting that I took several years ago. The instructor carved a personal “chop” for some of the students. I chose the important things in my life: love, learn(ing), luck and legacy ( 4L). It has been a very satisfactory way to represent myself since then.
Another course at Red Deer guided me to the silver. It was a wonderful experience and the beginning of a new obsession—but I need to sell some of the product to afford to continue with this passion. Therefore, I have turned to the online community to offer my creations.
The jewellery that I create is simple and often whimsical. Although it has little “artistic” value, each piece is wearable and fun. It is also .999 Fine Silver, since it is made from Art Clay Silver. This silver jewellery contains the purest silver possible. |
